He has won several comedy awards for his Web site, www.borowitzreport.com. James Braly is the only two-time winner of the Moth GrandSlam. Stories from his show, Life in a Marital Institution, have been featured on NPR and at the Whitney Museum, Long Wharf Theater, and the Moth National Tour. Michaela Murphy is a writer, teacher, playwright, and actor. Her work has been featured on NPR, at The Aspen Comedy Arts Festival, and the Clinton White House. Steve Osborne spent 20 years with the NYPD. He retired as a lieutenant in the detective bureau, where he was the commanding officer of the Manhattan Gang Squad. Sherman "O.T." Powell was raised in St. Louis, but has traveled from coast to coast. He is a graduate of The Moth Outreach Program: Stories in Stages and is currently writing his autobiography. Isaac Zablocki grew up in Israel and served in the IDF as an educational filmmaker. He completed his first feature film and is the director of film and literary programs at the Jewish Community Center in Manhattan. |
